Our hotel is located in the heart of a classic biking region, and offers some of the best starting points for great touring and cruising.
Already heard of Passo delle Erbe? No? Then check out what you’ve been missing! The beautiful winding mountain road connects the Val Isarco valley and the valley of Badia. Other attractions include Bressanone and the Ladin-speaking valley areas of San Martino, plus – high up in the mountains – Antermoia and the Hotel Pütia, in the heart of the ancient region of South Tyrol. This family-run establishment in Antermoia offers a fine starting point for exploring the great passes through the Dolomites, with the Passo Stalle and Passo di Furcia both close by. Many-faceted: the panoramic views from the roof terrace; many and varied: the mixture of Ladin, Italian and international cuisine.

Alpine tour guide: Dolomites - the great circular ride
A motorcycle ride among the towering scenery of the Dolomites is always a fascinating experience.
You will soon be happily addicted to tackling the bends that run, under a clear azure-blue sky, from one rugged, green-and-grey mountain face to another.
Point of departure and destination: Bolzano
Distance covered: 290 km
Passes and mountain roads: Passo Sella (2244 m),
Passo di Fedáia (2047 m), Passo di Giau
(2233 m), Passo tre Croci (1809 m), Col.
San Angelo (1756 m), Tre Cime road (2320 m),
Passo Prato Piazza (1993 m), Passo di Furcia
(1759 m), Passo delle Erbe (2004 m)
Winter closures: The Passo di Fedáia and Passo
di Giau are normally closed during the winter season (October to April). The Tre Cime road
and Passo delle Erbe are normally open again from the
end of May onwards. Other passes are closed
as required, depending on weather conditions.
Toll: It costs €10 to use the Tre Cime road. The regional government of South Tyrol is also considering the future introduction of tolls on some of the other main passes of the Dolomites.
Side-trips: Tre Cime road (toll), Passo Prato Piazza and lake of Lago di Braies
Ideal time to travel: late spring until autumn. You are however not recommended to come in the month of August, as this coincides with the heavy traffic of Italy’s main holiday period.
High-points of the tour: Passo Sella and Passo di Giau stand at the top of list, followed by Passo delle Erbe, which offers an exciting ride despite the narrowness of the road.
Views to watch out for: Passo Sella, Passo di Giau, the area near the summit of Passo delle Erbe, the Tre Cime road and the lake of Lago di Braies
