What to expect on a family holiday to the Dolomites

The Dolomites are a massive playground for people of all ages. Its glorious natural setting makes it the perfect place to embark upon exciting adventures. Our family-friendly hotel in South Tyrol is a great base for your adventures. From here, you can reach spas, fairytale worlds, adventure playgrounds and walking routes where even those with little legs can keep up.

KronAction Outdoor & Fun Park

The adventure park by Lake Issengo is worth a visit when you stay at a family-friendly hotel in South Tyrol. It is home to South Tyrol’s biggest high ropes course. Adventurers can complete 14 courses at various levels of difficulty, passing a total of 140 stations as they go. It goes without saying that the whole family will be security fastened in with a harness, helmet and all the necessary climbing equipment. The park’s other attractions include the human catapult, the free-fall experience from a 13 m height, a 20 m high climbing tree and a bungee trampoline.

The CRON4 spa paradise

Visitors will never get bored at this spa centre. There are several pools alongside the wellness area. The fun pool features water fountains and a lazy river. The active pool is where lessons are taught, while you can push it to the limit in the sports pool. The baby pool promises fun for the little ones and includes a quiet area with a baby-change unit. The 75 m long water slide is certainly a highlight. There are free loungers and hammocks on the lawn. There is also a zoo next door where you can watch its inhabitants from the safety of the fence.

Woody Walk on the Plose mountain

The Woody Walk is a good reason to leave your family-friendly hotel in South Tyrol and go on an excursion. This starting section of the Dolomites Panorama Trail on the Plose mountain is buggy-friendly and specifically designed with families in mind. There are various places to play or chill out as you take in the stunning mountain panorama. Try out the forest telephone or the “Don’t Touch the Ground” path. Viking ships, Kneipp water-treading basins and huge loungers also await your family.

The "Tru dles liondes" path of legend in San Vigilio

Immerse yourself in the world of Ladin legend on your family holiday in the Dolomites. Try to win the heart of the beautiful Dolasilla, who has to fight the evil magician Spina de Mul. The 3 km “The Wonderful World: the Legends of Fanes” themed route features information boards with vivid descriptions of how the locals once lived on the farms and their most famous legendary figures. The wood carvings show you the way and are a sight to behold.

Hotel reviews

  • Personal touch
I had the most amazing stay. The owner went out of her way to provide service above and beyond. Made breakfast at 4:30 am so I could make the start of my cycle Gran Fondo. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily and the meals were sumptuous. Staff were exceptional. I recommend this hotel.

  • “Jewel of a Hotel”
We have stayed at this family-run hotel twice while skiing over New Year's week, and both times were absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and they are able to offer family-sized, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suites that work well for us, especially with all of our skiing paraphernalia. The Prousch family and their employees work very hard to make sure their customers feel like guests. In the course of a week, you get to know other guests, many of whom return year after year, for good reason. The new bar area reminds me of staying at a lodge or retreat, with families playing games, doing puzzles and chatting in the evening hours between skiing and dinner. My daughter loved the kids' area and made new friends (German and Italian are the languages in the kids' "club"). Breakfast and dinner are consistently excellent, with new culinary experiences each trip. The view of the Dolomites from the hotel is absolutely incredible...

  • Convenient,Clean,Friendly,Value
Stayed here in January 2012 for avalanche training in mountains and skiing for fun. Convenient to ski areas and Dolomiten hiking trails. Hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. Food is excellent, but most importantly the Prausch family makes you feel at home and have excellent hospitality. Very nice people. The area is peaceful and special. Daily shuttles to the ski areas are complimentary. I will visit them again and highly recommend this hotel for family vacation or a ski vacation.
